Inspections

We require 24-hour notice on all inspections.

NEW! Get your inspection results emailed in real-time. Resource Management Building Inspectors now have the capability to email inspection results. Be sure to enter your email address on your permit application. To add emails to all of your permits you will need to provide the address with every application. To add your email address to an existing permit, give us a call or email us with your permit numbers and we can add the address to your existing permits. Only one email address per permit.

For no-contact permitting, click on "Forms and Fees" on the left menu. Fill out the appropriate permit application, print, sign, scan and then submit to: resmgt@boonecountymo.org. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. You will be contacted by email once your permit is processed; this email will contain information regarding how you may pay the applicable fees.

If you are installing a new onsite wastewater system you will need to submit a site plan and have lagoon sites staked prior to the Public Health and Human Services pre-site inspection.

The Resource Management Department brings together in one place the engineering, planning, and inspection services provided by Boone County. A citizen is able to access information crossing a wide range of subjects from land use to road construction. Stormwater requirements, stream buffers, floodplain regulations, driveway location, road design, subdivision requirements, and building construction are just some of the areas that the Boone County Resource Management Department can provide assistance.

This department consists of three divisions, the Planning Division , Inspections Division , and Engineering Division.

Please visit our frequently asked questions for answers to many of our most commonly asked questions. The answers to the questions are general as each property has its own characteristics. If in doubt, please call or email our office.
