The Human Resources Department was created to centralize employee recruitment activities for the various offices of Boone County Government. The department also provides support to county offices as it relates to employment and employee training, benefits, risk management and insurance. Applicants for this position are required to attend an applicable law enforcement training academy to gain POST approved peace officer licensure. This position is eligible for promotion Deputy Sheriff

Enters data into the MULES and RMS systems, accesses systems to check warrants and run criminal histories, prepares files and documentation, and responds to public inquiries.

Accepts and processes applications for Conceal Carry Permits, performs fingerprinting of applicants, conducts written and verbal communication with applicants, runs criminal histories using (MULES).

Maintain law and order and serve legal process of the courts by performing duties, including but not limited to; processing citizen complaints, and overall general law enforcement in the County.

Employee will observe and document all detainee movement; Control housing unit, cell, and hallway doors, communicate with detainees via the intercom and kiosks. Respond to detainee questions & issues

Ensuring the care and safety necessary within the detention facility.

Provide administrative office support by assisting the public, answering phones and e-mail, preparing mailings, typing, faxing correspondence, managing files, and completing various forms.

Answers service-desk phone and emails; responds to service-desk requests as appropriate; provides first level technical assistance as directed. Creates and assigns service-requests.

Semi-skilled maintenance operation position pertaining to the construction, repair, maintenance, storm drainage, facilities, and systems. Occasional operation of a variety of equipment.

Represent the State of Missouri in criminal prosecutions

Joint Communications (9-1-1)
Completes classroom and on-the-job training in call receiving and radio dispatch equipment, techniques, and protocol; and operates enhanced 9-1-1 telephone equipment.

Perform software development, assists in feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and end user training in response to user requests. Perform as team lead for projects involving multiple developers

Assists in the design, development, implementation, and support of the Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, supporting systems, and databases.

Works under supervision to install & configure personal computers and peripherals to work with networks & all applications that are supported by the Information Technologies Department.
