Boone County Website Accessibility
Boone County is committed to making showmeboone.com accessible to all users. To meet this commitment, the county remains actively engaged in the ongoing process of testing, developing, and updating the website and makes every reasonable effort to comply with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 508 requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from public entities, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the public entity.
If you have a disability and/or use assistive technology (such as a screen reader) and the format of any material on the Boone County Web site interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact the Boone County ADA Coordinator for assistance. Please indicate the type of accessibility problem, the preferred format in which to receive the information, the Web address of the requested information, and your contact information.
The Boone County ADA Coordinator is the Boone County Webmaster and can be reached by phone at (573) 886-4324 or by email at webmaster@boonecountymo.org.
Please see the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information page for more information about the Boone County ADA Coordinator, an explanation of ADA, and the grievance procedures.
Changing Colors
You can change the colors of Web pages to your preference by choosing Tools > Internet Options > Accessibility (IE) and then checking "Ignore colors specified on web pages"; Tools > Options > Color (Mozilla/Firefox) and then unchecking "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above". These internet browser option windows also allow users to set the browser to ignore font styles and sizes, change link colors, and set background/foreground colors.
Changing Font Sizes
Most modern browsers allow users to change the font size on Web pages by pressing the control key and either the plus or minus keys.
