With Commission Order 605-2012, the Boone County Commission readopted Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8; and revised Chapter 9 of the Code of Health Regulations for Boone County, Missouri. Chapter 9 gives the County Commission the authority to establish reasonable fees (see Commission Order 451-2019) to pay for the costs incurred with inspecting establishments and enforcing the Boone County Food Code.

The Boone County Collector has the responsibility of collecting the fees and issuing a food establishment operating permit. The operating permit is valid July 1 through June 30. The fees are based on gross receipts, less revenue not related to food, and a public health priority factor. The following table represents the permit fees for Boone County, effective May 1, 2020.
