During these unprecedented times, our goal is to continue to serve Boone County taxpayers by providing essential services. However, will we be doing so with minimal staffing and modifications to normal business operations.

We encourage taxpayers to call or email the Collector’s office with questions or concerns. Paid property tax receipts and statements of non-assessments can be emailed. Most local vehicle licensing offices will accept these electronic copies. In addition, paid property tax records are provided weekly to the DOR for online licensing renewals or in-person visits to local license offices.

If you need to make a payment we request that payments be mailed, placed in our drop box at the Government Center entrance at the corner of 9th and Ash St., made online or over the phone by calling 1-877-690-3729.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

Missouri Law, §311.220 RSMo, requires that any individual or business that is authorized to have a State of Missouri Liquor License must also have a valid Boone County Liquor License in order to operate within the county.

The Boone County Collector has the responsibility of collecting the fees and issuing a liquor license. The fees vary depending on the nature of the business. Liquor licenses are valid from the dates indicated on the license.

All applicable property taxes in the name of the business must be paid before a liquor license will be issued. Individuals applying for a liquor license may also be required to show proof that property taxes have been paid.

The collector's office accepts license and permit payments by cash, personal check, cashier's check, bank draft, money order or credit cards. One check may be written for multiple bills of licenses or permits, personal property, and/or real estate, if the total of the bills are added correctly. The entire amount due for the license or permit must be paid before one can be issued. Please do not send cash through the mail. Liquor licenses cannot be paid online or by phone.

Please see the Methods of Tax Payment page for detailed information.
