Boone County GIS

The GIS Department mission is to maintain a high quality, uniform standard of geographic information across all Boone County Departments and Offices and to disseminate professional services and decision making support systems through robust and innovative geographic information system applications. The GIS Department is the outgrowth of a multi-year research effort of Boone County, the City of Columbia, and Boone Electric Cooperative.

Boone County provides internet mapping viewers, powered by ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server

Boone County GIS Department provides access to the County GIS and map information through interactive mapping tools available at the online Boone County website. Since February 6th 2004, over 49,795,725 maps have been served.

Please Note: In order to access the Boone County Internet Mapping Viewers you must have a valid login and have any of the following Desktop browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 7+ or on Mobile: Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android. The mapping applications are best viewed with a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or higher. Also, in order for the print map tool to function correctly, you must turn off all pop-up blocking applications such as Yahoo bar, Google bar, AOL bar.
