National Crime Victims' Rights Week 5k Race

To kickoff National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is hosting a 5K walk/run on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Stephens Lake Park.

Participation in the event is FREE and the first 300 participants will receive a free t-shirt.

Each year, the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office joins other communities across the nation in recognizing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. From April 2-8, 2017, the focus will be on this year’s theme:

Strength* Resilience* Justice*

According to the Office of Justice Programs, this theme reflects a vision of the future in which “all victims are strengthened by the response they receive, organizations are resilient in response to challenges, and communities are able to seek collective justice and healing.”

To participate in this FREE event, simply fill out and submit the NCVRW 5k registration form.

This project is supported by a National Crime Victims' Rights Week Community Awareness Project subgrant awarded by the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators under a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant from the Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
