Roots-n-Blues-n-911: Joint Communications Readies for Annual Festival

Weather permitting, Boone County residents will hear the activation of over 80 outdoor warning sirens on Wednesday, October 7. The routine test will take place at noon.

The outdoor warning sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month by Joint Communications and the Boone County Office of Emergency Management. Sirens are designed to warn citizens who are outdoors about various hazards, particularly weather-related events.
