Boone County Commission Accepting Applications for Appointment to Boone Hospital Board of Trustees

October 27, 2023 – The Boone County Commission is accepting applications for appointment to the Boone Hospital Board of Trustees. The appointee will fill the position vacated by Greg Steinhoff, who announced his resignation effective on November 1, 2023.

The Boone Hospital Board of Trustees is a five-member board composed of independently elected officials chosen by the voters of Boone County. However, the Revised Statutes of Missouri require the Boone County Commission to appoint a replacement should a board member vacate their position before their term of service has expired. This appointee will serve until the April 4, 2024, General Municipal Election, at which time the voters of Boone County will elect a Trustee to serve the remainder of this unfilled term.

To be considered for this appointment, interested parties must submit a board application. The application deadline is set for 5pm on Monday, November 13.  The application may be found at https://www.showmeboone.com/commission/boards/ or can be obtained in person at the Boone County Commission Office, located in room 333 of the Roger B. Wilson Boone County Government Center at 801. E Walnut, Columbia.

Candidate filing to fill the remainder of this unfilled term will open on December 5, 2023, and close on December 26, 2023. The elected candidate will serve the remainder of Mr. Steinhoff’s unfilled term, which concludes in 2028.
