Boone County Commission to Honor Senator Caleb Rowden
October 12, 2018 – The Boone County Commission, on behalf of the County Commissioners Association of Missouri (CCAM), will honor Senator Caleb Rowden during the Commission Meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 9:30AM in the Boone County Commission Chambers. Senator Rowden is one of six Missouri legislators to be honored by CCAM for their commitment to improving county government operations. The Commission will also present a proclamation in Senator Rowden’s honor.
The CCAM Board of Directors voted in August to honor those lawmakers who have worked diligently to advance primary county bills, regardless of the outcome. Senator Rowden’s commitment to Missouri counties has been evident not only in the recently concluded 2018 session of the General Assembly, but also over the past few years.
Senator Rowden’s support of Missouri’s counties may be witnessed through his service on the Justice Reinvestment Task Force. One goal of the task force is to see that counties are paid all the outstanding funds for housing state prisoners. Currently, Missouri counties are owed over $17 million in state funds.
