Who: On August 18, Boone County Stormwater Coordinator Georganne Bowman will announce the final phase of development for the county's stormwater ordinance. Joining Bowman will be the Boone County Commissioners, Planning and Building Director Stan Shawver and Senior Planner Bill Florea.
What: After more than a year of development, discussion and debate with stakeholders, commissioners and county staff, Boone County is preparing to finalize the stormwater ordinance. The ordinance meets all of the requirements of the County's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit, protects stream channels from erosion, reduces the chance of flooding homes and structures and does not place an extreme hardship on developers. There will be a Q&A session following the presentation.
