Art Contest

The Boone County Community Services Department is hosting an art contest for Boone County children and youth. Submitted artwork will be used in the department's annual report and other departmental publications. Submitted artwork should correspond with the theme “My friend or favorite place in the community.”

Who is Eligible?

• Boone County, Missouri resident
• Currently in preschool through 12th grade (or the equivalent for homeschooled students)

Design Requirements

• The design must correspond with the theme of “My friend or favorite place in the community.”
• Designs must be the original work of the participant and cannot be created digitally. Design mediums can include but are not limited to acrylic, watercolor painting, pastels, marker, colored pencil, crayon, etc.
• To accommodate print quality, designs should be submitted as vector files, or high-resolution JPG, PNG, TIF, or PDF file types with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Max 10 MB file size. The Sponsor may require the original artwork of the finalists to be submitted for print quality purposes, therefore, contestants should maintain their original artwork.

Additional Submission Requirements

• Signed parent consent form
• Artist's Name
• Artist's city of residence

Selection Criteria

The department intends to use the submitted artwork for its annual report. Designs will be selected based on visual aesthetics, originality, and a pro-community message.
