Community Members & Leaders Invited to Participate in Preparedness Planning Workshop

July 7, 2023 – The Boone County Office of Emergency Management (BCOEM) is set to host its annual Integrated and Planning Preparedness Workshop (IPPW) on July 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Boone Electric Cooperative Building Community Room located at 1413 Rangeline Street in Columbia, Mo.

BCOEM invites members of the community to attend the workshop to foster collaboration on the integrated preparedness planning process. Registration is now open until July 20, 2023.

The purpose of this workshop is to bring the community and senior leaders together to collaborate on preparedness activities within the Integrated Preparedness Cycle.  The cycle is broken into six sections: Plan, Organize, Equip, Train, Exercise, and Improve.  Each phase is important to ensuring a resilient and prepared community. This workshop discussion will help determine the preparedness priorities of our community for 2024 – 2026.
