Dustin Stanton Appointed as Boone County Treasurer
April 12, 2022— Dustin Stanton, of Centralia, was appointed by Governor Parson as the Boone County Treasurer on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was sworn into the office during a ceremony this morning in the Boone County Commission Chambers.
Mr. Stanton is the co-owner and operator of Stanton Brothers Eggs, a 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri, and long-time board member of Boone County Farm Bureau. He has also served in several leadership roles within various civic groups in the area such as the Co-Chair of the Agribusiness & Bioscience Committee for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce; the President of the Boone County Farm Bureau; the President of the Columbia Farmers Market; and as a Liaison for the Boone County Extension Council.
Mr. Stanton’s term will run through 12/31/22, following Tom Darrough’s departure from the office in January 2022.
