Boone County Elected Officials to be Sworn In To Office

December 30, 2014

The first order of business for Boone County Elected Officials in 2015 will be the Swearing-In Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, January 1, 2015.

Beginning at 10:00AM in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the Boone County Courthouse, Associate Circuit Judge Kim Shaw will be sworn in by Judge Christine Carpenter. This will begin Shaw's first term as the Division V, Boone County Associate Circuit Judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit.

Judge Carpenter will then move to the Commission Chambers in the Roger B. Wilson Boone County Government Center at 11:00AM to conduct the Swearing-In Ceremony for Circuit 13 Associate Circuit Judges Michael Bradley, Leslie Schneider and Deborah Daniels. Judge Bradley will be beginning his second term as the Division IX, Boone County Associate Circuit Judge. Judge Schneider and Judge Daniels will both be beginning their third terms as Boone County Associate Circuit Judges in Division X and XI, respectively.

Nora Dietzel will be sworn in at this time to begin her first term as Boone County Recorder of Deeds. Also being sworn-in are Auditor June Pitchford, Circuit Court Clerk Christy Blakemore, Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwill and Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Knight. Auditor Pitchford will be beginning her seventh term. Circuit Court Clerk Blakemore will be beginning her third. Presiding Commissioner Atwill will begin serving his first full term following his appointment in 2011 and subsequent election in 2012. Prosecuting Attorney Knight will be beginning his third term. County Clerk Wendy Noren has already been sworn in by Judge Carpenter to begin her ninth term.

Boone County Collector - Elect Brian McCollum is scheduled to be sworn in on Friday, February 27, 2015 before taking office on March 2, 2015.
