West Entrance to Boone County Government Center Closed October 25-26 for Construction

On Monday, December 3, Boone County Commissions past and present will gather over lunch to discuss current events in Boone County.
Beginning at 11:30am in the Boone County Government Center Chambers, Commissioners having served terms dating back to 1971 will gather together to share ideas, discuss current events in Boone County and reflect upon how past events can shed light on the present. By hosting the meeting, Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwill, District I Commissioner Karen M. Miller and District II Commissioner Skip Elkin will have the opportunity to learn from the knowledge and experience of their predecessors.
Attending Commissioners include Larry Mead, who served from 1971-1972; Rodney Smith, who served from 1975-1976; Kay Roberts, who served from 1981-1985; Dave Horner, who served from 1985-1988; Frank Graham, who served from 1987-1990; Dave Griggs, who served from 1989-1990; Patsy Ponder Dalton, who served from 1991-1992; Linda Vogt, who served from 1991-2000; Don Stamper, who served from 1991-2002; and Keith Schnarre, who served from 2003-2006. Topics will cover the completion of the Courthouse Plaza Renovation Project, including a tour if weather permits, an update of the progress made at the Central Missouri Event Center (formerly known as the Boone County Fairgrounds), a discussion of the 9-1-1 process and an overview of progress and upcoming work to be done in relation to St. Charles Road and Route Z.
