Boone County Government offices closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in observance of Christmas Eve
COLUMBIA, Mo. (December 22, 2025) - All nonessential Boone County Government offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24 in observance of Christmas Eve. Offices were already slated to be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
On Friday, December 19, Governor Mike Kehoe signed an executive order announcing that state offices would be closed on Christmas Eve. Two weeks earlier, Governor Kehoe signed an executive order announcing that state offices would be closed on Friday, December 26. According to Commission Order 480-2020 from October 22, 2020, Boone County honors all Official State Holidays. Accordingly, all nonessential Boone County Government offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Friday, December 26, 2025.
