Boone County Senior Buyer Amy Gerskin appointed to state association Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, Mo. (December 17, 2025) - Amy Gerskin, Senior Buyer for the Boone County Purchasing Department, has been appointed to serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Association of Public Purchasing (MAPP), starting January 1, 2026.

MAPP, founded in 1972, represents professionals in procurement and materials management within Missouri’s public sector. As the third chapter of the National Institute for Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), MAPP supports the growth and professional development of its members, providing resources, training, and networking opportunities for public procurement specialists across the state.

In her role as Senior Buyer at Boone County, Amy oversees the purchasing of a wide range of goods and services for various County departments and offices. She is responsible for managing the formal bidding process and overseeing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure compliance and efficiency in County procurement activities.

Amy’s appointment to the MAPP Board reflects her dedication and expertise in public procurement. Her involvement with the organization will allow her to contribute to the advancement of public purchasing practices while representing the interests of Boone County.
