Boone County Resource Management Office to Provide Limited Hours for In-Person Services

COLUMBIA, Mo. (June 9, 2025) - Beginning June 6, 2025, hours for in-person services at the Boone County Resource Management Office will be limited to allow for staff training.

Boone County Resource Management staff will begin training on a new land management and permitting system. On the following dates, in-person services will be limited and in-person permits will not be offered so staff are able to attend these training sessions.

Friday, June 6 - Office closed from 8-9 a.m.

Tuesday, June 10 - Limited services with no in-person building permits after 12:30 p.m.

Monday, June 16 - Limited services with no in-person building permits between 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Beginning June 25 - No in-person building permits on Wednesdays after 3:30 p.m.

"We apologize for any inconvenience our limited hours may cause," stated Bill Florea, Resource Management Director, "but we are confident that these temporary interruptions will result in a higher level of service when the new system becomes active."

Building permit applications and instructions are available in the Boone County Resource Management Office for applicants to complete and drop off. Applications may also be submitted online via the Building Inspections page.

Applications will be processed in the order received once staff become available.
