Centralia ARPA Community Information and Listening Session Rescheduled to January 17
January 12, 2024 – The ARPA Community Information and Listening Session in Centralia which was canceled earlier this week due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous driving conditions has been rescheduled. The session will take place on Wednesday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. in Centralia City Hall Council Chambers, located at 114 S. Rollins in Centralia.

Original Press Release Issued December 18, 2023:
December 18, 2023 – The Boone County Commission will host Community Information and Listening Sessions at various locations throughout the county regarding the second-round distribution of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The Community Information and Listening Sessions, which are open to the public, will begin Monday, January 8, 2024. These sessions will offer community members the opportunity to share their comments and priorities for disbursement of the remaining ARPA funding with the Commissioners.
The sessions will also include presentations by the Boone County Commission regarding the application process, timeline, and anticipated disbursement schedule for ARPA Funding. The Commission is now accepting applications from organizations for the second, and final, round of ARPA funding. The application can be found at https://www.showmeboone.com/commission/arpa.asp. This round of funding will allocate approximately $6.5million in ARPA funds. The application submission deadline for the final round of funding is set for 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024. Commission approval of applications from the second round of funding is expected in Spring 2024.
