Boone County Emergency Communications Center to be Dedicated September 11, 2016

Boone County will host the dedication ceremony of the Boone County Emergency Communications Center on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00PM at 2145 East County Drive, Columbia. This event will celebrate the completion of the new facility, funded by the 3/8 cent sales tax passed by voters in April 2013.
The Columbia Fire Department and Boone County Fire Protection District Honor Guards will open the ceremony with the presentation of the colors. Ron Walker, Director of SEMA, will provide the keynote address. Boone County Commissioners will take this opportunity to recognize the efforts of the members of the Boone County 911/Emergency Management Advisory Board, a Blue Ribbon Panel; the community stakeholders including local law enforcement, fire protection and medical service; the Boone County Office of Emergency Management and Boone County Joint Communications; and those working on the development of the ECC.
Guided tours of the facility will be provided at the conclusion of the ceremony.
