Boone County Named Top Ten by Center for Digital Government
On Monday, July 16, the Center for Digital Government announced the top ten counties in each of four population categories, including Boone County, which ranked ninth place amongst counties with a population between 150,000 and 249,999. Boone County has been ranked in the top ten among counties of similar population for seven of the past eight years. Boone County earned this recognition for successful outcomes through strategic use of information and communications technology. Ed Robb Memorial Fund for Public Safety Provides Life-Saving Devices for Boone County
The Ed Robb Memorial Fund for Public Safety was established to honor the late Presiding Commissioner’s passion and dedication to public safety in Boone County. With the donation from this fund, Boone County was able to purchase three automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and commemorative plaques to be placed in the Boone County Government Center in public areas.  On Thursday, July 26, the Boone County Commission presented a proclamation of appreciation and honor to Dr. Robb’s wife, Rosa, for continuing her husband’s mission to provide for the public safety of Boone County residents.
