With general direction by the Boone County Commission, the Director leads the team responsible for strategic planning, development, and management of the technology, data, systems, and enhancements of systems used throughout Boone County offices and departments.
Provides leadership and direction to department personnel to provide County-wide support in the following areas: infrastructure, applications, devices, cybersecurity, security systems, helpdesk and technical support, application development, geographic information systems, and mail services.
Collaborates with County leadership and departmental partners to define and execute a digital strategy for the County of Boone; leads efforts to assess digital opportunities, threats, and internal technical capabilities to meet identified needs.
Develops and controls annual operating and capital budgets for IT to ensure they are consistent with the overall strategic objectives of the County and are within the plan; directs the development of IT's sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.

Primarily 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, with occasional work outside business hours to respond to urgent service requests from 24/7 operations.
Columbia, Missouri
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Administration, or a closely related area; five years of information technology services experience; personnel management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet minimum qualifications set forth by the FBI and MSHP CJIS Security policy.
Salary commensurate with experience.
