Responsibilities:

Oversees administrative functions of the Road and Bridge Department including compensation and payroll processing, budget expenditures, accounts payable; public purchasing procurement processes; data collection and processing related to cost accounting and labor force utilization; interdepartmental billing for fuel and vehicle services; performance evaluation program; citizen communication and reporting system; and office staffing. Monitors, ensures compliance, and participates in the negotiations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Drafts correspondence/communication to the public and staff. Oversees safety and risk management, DOT compliance and documentation, maintaining records, coordinates investigations, and maintains documentation. Collects data and prepares operating reports on personnel actions, budget expenditures, year-end forecasts, salary projections, capital project and maintenance expenditures and operating costs.

Status: 

Full-time, exempt, benefited

Working hours: 

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

Location:

Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping, Business Administration or related degree and three years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping with at least one year of supervisory experience.

Starting Salary Range: 

$46,529 - $49,441
