Responsibilities:

Performs accounting duties related to department budget; processes department's payroll, purchase orders, and payment requisitions; balances budget statements; processes journal entries. Creates financial reports. Coordinate conference registration and travel arrangements for staff. Purchases office supplies; assists in maintaining inventory records; prepares and routes work orders as needed. Provides administrative support for the department; answers phones and responds to inquiries as appropriate; provides customer assistance; schedules meetings and appointments; prepares correspondence and reports; maintains files. This position performs as a backup in our Mail Services area when needed.

Status: 

Full-time, non-exempt, benefited

Working hours: 

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday

Location:

Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or GED and three years administrative assistant/office management experience. Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to perform extensive walking and lifting up to 50lbs. Must pass a law enforcement and FBI fingerprint background check.

Preferred Skills: 

Ability to type 50 wpm. Experience with MS Office Suite.

Starting Hourly Pay Rate: 

$17.60 - $18.70 per hour. Commensurate with experience.
