Taylor Burks Appointed as Boone County Clerk
July 31, 2017 - Taylor Burks has been appointed Boone County Clerk by Governor Eric Greitens. The position became vacant when long-term Boone County Clerk, Wendy S. Noren, resigned in June. Elections Manager Art Auer has been serving as Interim County Clerk.
Burks was the Director of Distribution, Inventory and Asset Management at the University of Missouri System. He is also a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserves. Burks holds a bachelor's degree in justice systems from Truman State University, a master's degree in administrative leadership from the University of Oklahoma, and a master's degree in accounting from Washington University. He will be sworn in by Judge Kevin Crane in the Boone County Courthouse as 3:00PM today, July 31, 2017.
