BOONE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS
OFFERS REMINDER FOR SNOW PREPARATION
December 5, 2013— As the weather forecasters predict our first possibility for winter weather this season, Boone County Public Works would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of a few guidelines that will make the occurrence safer and easier for both residents and road crews.
Our goal is to efficiently have all county roads passable within a reasonable amount of time after the snow has stopped. With between ½ inch and 2 inches predicted for this event you might see trucks out pre-treating before the snow begins and then not see them again until the snow fall is over. This allows us to maximize our resources, both product and employees. Our plowing priorities reflect a commitment to ensuring that priority roads are kept open to serve critical facilities and provide access between state highways and our communities.
Boone County Public Works thanks you for assisting us as we serve you.
