All of the unincorporated land in Boone County is zoned into one of 22 different zoning districts. Each district has a list of permitted uses. The staff provides assistance to the public in preparing applications to rezone land and prepares the staff report for the Planning & Zoning Commission. The P & Z Commission conducts a public hearing on the rezoning request, and makes a recommendation to the County Commission.
